Edward "Coach Eddie" Bergersen originally trained as a physiotherapist in his native Norway and worked in various health care fields such as neurological rehab, pediatrics, sports medicine, and psycho-motor physiotherapy. In conjunction with his physiotherapy education, Eddie also worked as a personal trainer, group exercise instructor, and massage therapist.
As the years passed, Eddie grew increasingly frustrated with the limitations of his role within the individual fields of fitness and health care and sought out new ways to merge key aspects of each for better results. Nowadays, Eddie prefers to be called "Coach", and is a holistic fitness practitioner who helps his clients realize their true potential. He believes that optimum outcomes can be achieved by safe, correctly performed exercise, combined with a movement practice and positive mental visualizations. Exercise, when performed correctly, is powerful medicine for both the body and mind, and is an absolute necessity for improving health and wellbeing. When good health and wellbeing are present, performance and aesthetics naturally improve.
Eddie specializes in kettle-bell training, bodyweight training, joint mobility, animal flow, traditional strength training, and high-intensity training. He believes that each client is different, and every aspect, from the way each exercise is performed, to the specific programming variables, IS and MUST be tailored to suit the client's needs. Eddie has over the years, amassed a great diversity of experience, working with clients ranging from children, to professional athletes, to wheelchair-bound senior citizens, and everything in between. He combines this experience with a scientific and logical approach, to meet and exceed the individual's fitness needs. Never satisfied, Eddie is constantly learning, experimenting, and testing hypotheses in order to refine and improve his methods and believes it his mission in life to help as many people as possible change their lives through fitness.
